Tax Relief Assistance

We all face challenges as throughout our life. Some we meet head-on and tackle them without hesitation. Other challenges, if wise, we realize are beyond our knowledge and capabilities to deal with alone and need to call in a professional for help.

Millions of Americans each year have some interaction with the IRS beyond the simple filing of their tax returns.  Because the IRS is a federal agency and has extensive powers, they can seem quite intimidating. But, you don't have to face them alone. One of your rights as a taxpayer is "The Right to Retain Representation".

That's where we come in! Don't face the IRS alone. Contact us today for a FREE 30 minute consultation.

Paul Peffer

Founder & CEO

After many years as a tax practitioner, I founded Tax Relief Assistance to assist and represent individuals and small businesses in their interactions with the IRS. This specific area of tax practice termed "tax resolution" typically involves complex cases that may cover a number of tax years.

I started my career out of college as a controller for a large insurance brokerage. After a number of years in that industry, I moved up to V.P Finance for a large Canon copier distributorship. Ultimately, I went on to co-found  and was CEO for Colorbus, Inc., which was a multinational software and hardware development company with revenues in excess of $70M per year and over 200 employees and associated distributors. These experiences provided with a wealth of experience and knowledge in entrepreneurship and the development and growth challenges faced by small businesses.

After leaving Colorbus, Inc. I decided to try a second career and went on to get a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I then went on to work for four years with severely and persistently mentally ill clients until 2006.

When I decided to go back into finance, I truly wanted to specialize in tax resolution and consulting. I decided to complete the requirements to become an Enrolled Agent which is a license issued and monitored by the Internal Revenue Service. As quoted from the license:

"Enrolled agents are granted unrestricted rights to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service, demonstrate special competence in tax matters, adhere to ethical standards, and are required to stay current with tax law and regulations by completing a minimum amount of continuing education annually."

As an Enrolled Agent, I am authorized to practice in all 50 states. My firm has all the resources to handle your case, we have an excellent reputation among our clients and with the IRS, and look forward to giving you the representation you and your business deserve!
